Prosperous Pleasures & Abundance of Treasures at Aquamarine CNY Buffet

With Christmas behind us and the Year of the Rooster arriving fast and furious in 3 weeks, everyone is always doubly busy with spring cleaning, putting up decorations, banking, and not to forget, meal-planning for reunion dinner and CNY gatherings at this time of the year.

If you have not done any planning yet, now is the time to make your reservations at AquaMarine for a gathering this CNY.  Located at Level 4 of Marina Mandarin, the Halal buffet restaurant is easily a crowd-pleaser with their splendid spread of delectable cuisine from Asian and International countries.

With planning in advance and innovative twist to the usual fare, Executive Chef Tony Khoo and Chef Chan Tuck Wai have specially prepared a line up of festive dishes to celebrate the joyous festival.

Yu Sheng (Salmon) – DIY

At the Yu Sheng DIY station, grab for yourselves as much treasures as you can with AquaMarine’s Signature Yu Sheng with fresh Salmon Sashimi.  After all, the more one grabs, the more ‘huat’ one will be right?

Roasted Duck and Wok Fried Leek in Buckwheat Crepes

Presenting our top vote, these crepe-wrapped roasted duck and wok-fried leek was a champion both in aesthetics appeal and tastes.  Rather than sampling small portions of the same duck and leek from the boring-looking warmer, this pancake-style alternative using healthy buckwheat for a wrap gave us a very different gastro-perience (if there is such a word) right out of from the buffet table.  This is a MUST-TRY!

Whole abalone, Sea Cucumber and Lobster Dumpling with Crustacean Sauce

Served as the stunning highlight during CNY Reunion Dinner (27 Jan 2017) is fresh Whole Abalone, Sea Cucumber and Lobster Dumpling swimming in a pool of deeply-flavoured Crustacean Sauce with a tinge of spice.  Everybody’s well-loved abalone and sea cucumber are braised to perfection – soft to the bite yet there is a little bit of firmness to them.

Together with the large chunk of lobster in the big dumpling symbolising a large money sack, I wished I could have another serving to lick the plate clean!  Gimme MORE, pretty please!

Wagyu Beef Short Ribs Kong Bag Pau

This Wagyu Beef Short Ribs Kong Bag Pau with 8 Spices has been cooked slowly for 16 hours to obtain tender chunks of beef with deep, flavourful gravy to soak steamed and ever soft lotus bun with.

An unique twist to the pork belly that we are used to, the wagyu beef kong bah pau is flavoured exactly like how we love it – thick, savoury gravy and (fatty) beef.  The addition of soya bean sprouts and lettuce matches the sinful yet delish dish very much.

Steamed Seafood with Cordycep Blossom In Lotus Leaves

Think fresh, sweet and succlent seafood from this eye-catching steamed basket of seafood enhanced with the nutritious cordycep blossoms and the fragrance from lotus leaves.  Symbolising abundance of laughter and happiness for the coming new year, the flower crabs, large prawns and bountiful seafood catch is a treasure trove to look out for.

A word of advice – don’t miss the soup!

Stewed Mee Sua with Seafood

After sampling the wave of delicious dishes above and not forgetting other food from the rest of the usual buffet spread at AquaMarine, we’d recommend going for a serving of warm mee sua stewed with fresh seafood.  The significance of longevity in mee sua is what everyone needs in the new year ahead.  The mee sua soaked in all the invigorating sweetness from the seafood and it settled comfortably in our stomachs after a satisfying meal.

Mandarin Orange Cake

For the coming Year of the Rooster, AquaMarine’s Mandarin Orange Cake certainly looks all set to welcome a year of prosperity and abundance with a wealthy burst of citrusy sweetness and auspicious fruity taste in every bite.

The Best of Spice & South East Asian Delights @ AquaMarine

AquaMarine has launched their new menu this month.  Located at Marina Mandarin Singapore and specially available only til 27 Oct 2016, the Best of Spice & South East Asian Delights buffet menu features heartwarming authentic dishes from all over Asia.  There were a ridiculous array of various dishes from all over Asia, so much so that I was caught with surprise not knowing the existence of many of them.

A fully Halal-certified restaurant, Muslim friends at AquaMarine will find joy having their meal gathering with family and friends here.

We spotted what we are familiar with like the Javanese Kampung Nasi Goreng, Malaysian Hokkien Mee and Penang Assam Laksa, Balinese Bakar of Lamb Belly, Whole Ikan Kambung, Chicken, Charcoal Grilled Oxtail.  Don’t give the Balinese Bakar a miss.  They were really fragrant and exuded savoury meat juices with some well-grilled crispy skin there too.

Too bad you can’t smell them!

Korean Bibim Naengmyun (or Chilled Sweet Potato Noodle with Shredded Cucumber, Beansprout, Scallion, Picked Radish and Assorted Kimchi), Hae Mul Pajeon (Korean Seafood Pancake), Tteokbokki and Samyetang.

Korean Tteokbokki

Japanese handmade sushi and freshly-sliced sashimi remains a crowd-pleaser here.  Two (2) types of sashimi from  a range of Salmon, Seabeam, Tuna, Swordfish, Octopus, Mackerel are being offered on a rotational basis.

We had Tuna and Salmon on the day we visited.

Over at the Indian Delight curry station, scores of diners attacked the Calcutta Fish Curry, Chicken Tika, Vegetable Korma, Biryani Rice and more.

The Indian Chicken Curry was superb with thick and flavourful curry and tender chicken.

For the noodle lovers, there is Sze Chuan Hand-pulled Noodles with Fresh Prawn, Scallop, Squid and Sliced Fish with Hot & Sour Broth, Taiwanese Wagyu Beef Noodle made with Wagyu Shortribs, Tendon and Beef Ball in a rich Beef Marrow Broth.  Shanghai Pan Fried Chicken Dumpling Sheng Jian Bao and Hong Kong Pineapple Bun Bo Lo Bao are our favourites too.

Expect lesser-known traditional favourites from other Asian countries such as Javanese Roast Whole Lamb Leg with Spicy Coconut and Peanut Sauce, Beef Adobo from the Philippines, Ca Kho To (a Vietnamese Braised Fish dish), Miang Kham from Thailand & Laos, Lechon Manok from Philippines and Amok Trey Cambodian Steam Curry Seafood.

Miang kham is a traditional snack from Thailand and Laos. The name “miang kham” loosely translates to “one bite wrap”, from miang and kham. ~ Extracted from Wikipedia

Night Market Favourites, available on Fridays and Saturdays at the Alfresco area at AquaMarine, satiate your appetite with charcoal-grilled Thai Barbeque giant Seabass with Mango Salad, chicken, squid, fish and prawns, or Chong Qing Mala Hot Pot with a selection of fresh seafood, poultry and meat.  And more!

I guess no buffet is complete without fresh & cold seafood, Western grill, bread and cheese, pizzas and pastas.

Smoked Duck with Orange Jus

The Smoked Duck with Orange Jus carries a refreshing tangy and a little sweet flavour to the smoked duck – a nice variant from the savoury original.

Desserts include Mango Sticky Rice with Coconut Sauce from Thailand, Surabaya Lapis from Indonesia, Mango Pudding with Coulis from Hong Kong, Vattalappam from Sri Lanka and more.

Old School Butter Cake and Pumpkin Custard.

Don’t forget the Durian Mousse Cake as well as the Chendol Agar-Agar served in shot glasses.  These two were a hot favourite and were gone almost as quickly as they were replenished.

Durian Mousse Cake

Red Ruby, Mango Pudding, Chendol Agar-Agar. I really loved the Chendol Agar-Agar. They were excellently rich and fragrant. I found the Mango Pudding surprisingly tasteless though Audrey said they were good. We guessed I must have had eaten the durian mousse cake before this.

Putu Ayu and Dainty Green Tea Chestnut Cakes

The Yuzu Mango Cold Cheesecake looks really inviting here. The tangy yuzu might be too sour for some. I found it tantalising.

A habit that cannot be changed when I spot beautifully-crafted desserts at a buffet, I always take the most visually-appealing ones first before others get to them.  Here are my “collection” of the day even before I finished having the main dishes.  Always gotta save a stomach for sweets!  ;p

Amazing buffets hold a special place in all our hearts.  Who wouldn’t love to pay single flat amount and have all-you-can-eat?  AquaMarine is well-known being one of the better buffets in Singapore and it was certainly not our first time as diners there (I mean, who doesn’t know AquaMarine?) although it’s our first hosted invite by Marina Mandarin as bloggers.  Thanks!

King Koil Warehouse Sale 2016

We’ve been too excited today! Both of us went shopping today amidst our already crazy schedule.  Audrey did a through walk through of the media preview sales in the morning and I went back the second time after I picked the kids from school because I wanted them to shop for their own bedsheet sets so that they can feel the excitement of shifting to our new house in a few months to come.

King Koil Warehouse Sale 2016

I’m missing my $40 Full Latex Bolster in the photo. Guess how much I spent in excess of the complimentary shopping vouchers from King Koil? It’s quite an amount and I had a hard time controlling myself. These are all really high quality bed + duvet sets at a jaw-dropping clearance price. Fastest hands first!!

Seeing none of them kids’ printed bedsheets above???  While the Marvel kids collection does not appeal to 9-yo Jiejie, it attracted the 7-yo Didi.  However I cannot find a matching comforter for the fitted sheet set he specifically chosen.  We were about to settle for a fitted sheet set without the comforter when he discovered the comfort of the Tencel bedsheets <.>   As for Jiejie, no longer does she want anything remotely kiddy or printed designs.  She prefers plain-colour everything now and if it’s even possible, she’d take black!  The adult collection fitted her as well and I guess we’ll be taking turn to use the different colours ehhehehe

This high-end Dorma range from London is a new collection by King Koil.  Specially-priced sets are for the warehouse sale only.  There are also other prints available which are meant for the children (550TC) or English-styled flower-printed sets for the vintage lover.

There are simply too many things on sale at King Koil’s annual warehouse sale today.  I took LOTS of photos of almost everything available there so if you want to make a quick decision on what to look out for before heading down to the sales, take a look at the video below for a guide.  Bring your VISA/MasterCard/Nets or Cash.  Citibank and Passion Card holders are entitled to a further 5% off your purchase value too so don’t forget those.

It took me the entire night to make the above video.  I hope it serves as a good guide.  While you are there, don’t forget to check out partner booths by EuroAce, OTO and Nippon Paint!

{Media Preview} Best of the King Koil Warehouse Sale 2016

I was so privileged to be invited for an exclusive sneak preview of this year’s King Koil Warehouse Sale today! If you’ve not heard yet, this year’s highly popular King Koil Warehouse Sale is happening from 2 – 5 September 2016 at 13 Sungei Kadut Way.

KKSale

Most of the items especially beddings, linens, pillows etc are at the entrance foyer area under shelter. There are lots of fans to cool the area and King Koil has even set up a welcome desk with free mineral water if you are thirsty. So do remember to hydrate as you shop! 🙂

Load up on bolsters and pillows cos they are so so cheap!! There are seriously so many types on sale there, it was mind boggling!

I actually saw someone lug like half a dozen of these! hahahha!! No idea how much are they at retail.

Wow! Super value Tencel Baby Set just great for new-borns!!

The beddings and linen available at the ground floor foyer was really almost endless. I got myself a really good quality plain coloured Egyptian Cotton Sateen King Size full bed set for only $40!!

Also got my mum this set of Orlendo 100% Prima Cotton Sheet set, very high thread count for only $60! hehe… our CNY beddings are all ready this time 🙂

King Koil Warehouse Sale 2016

Summer Blankets for kids and adults!

There are really rows and rows of various types and qualities of bedsheet sets, so do take your time to browse and compare before you decide what’s ideal for your needs.

img_1892

Take your pick of colours and designs and quality at value prices!

Don’t forget the linens too. Milton Home has quite a lot of towels on sale there.

I also spied at a corner where sample beddings were selling for just $10! These are mostly display pieces at departmental stores so really no harm if the design and type suits your needs! hehee…

Beds and Mattresses are within air-conditioned areas in the main lobby.

Take the lift up to the 5th floor for higher end beds and mattresses.

Half priced plus lots of PWP Gifts!

Purchase With Purchase Gifts!!! Yay!

The 5th floor also has a sofa furnishing sales area. You can customise your sofa to your liking for fabrics even at the warehouse sale! hehe.

Great Bargains for Beddings on the 5th!

Be sure to check out the Fossflakes (Denmark), Dorma (UK) and Silk range in the 5th floor!! It’s really substantial discounts, see the photos below 🙂

If you like the great quality softness of  Tencel the Dorma collection has a really good discount at 5th floor. There are lots to choose from and really pretty colours too! I got myself a King Size full bed set for only $100! My CNY bedding is all set! 🙂

Really good buy for Tencel compared to almost $500 at department stores!

Look at the price slash for Silk Collection! Scream!! Everything under $100 instead of $1,699! Wah!

There are also very good quality Children’s beddings at the 5th floor. Just look at the crazy discounts, I wish I had stayed longer arghh!! These are all great quality high thread count beddings that are so unusual for kid’s beddings!

Totally regret not getting this for Wey at the preview! What was I thinking!!! Sigh! 😦

5th floor items have to be paid for there. Assistants at each section will issue you an invoice to make payment before collecting your items.

The only issue about purchasing from different areas is that you will not be able to put all your purchases into one bill. Items from each floor or section have to be paid at the respective cashiers in each area. Do take note as it will mean multiple queues at each section! 🙂

Check out Shirley’s video post in her field report!

6 Tips to Get the Best Out of the Sale

Go Early

As with all good sales, go early to get the best pickings. As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. This explains the queues forming wherever there are good deals. Every Singaporean knows to sniff a good deal is to watch the crowd queues. No harm to be the first in line at all! hehee..

Also, for another practical reason, it’s definitely going to be cooler at 9am than say 12-3pm! Of course, you can make a contrary reasoning that 12-3 pm may have less crowd since it’s hotter and it’s lunch time. Whichever, works for you, just be sure to get there before the Sale ends! LOL!

Another thing is, if you’re early, you don’t have to fight for a parking space or wait for one! Note that official coupon parking along the road  is very limited hehe…

Have a Shopping List

Come mentally prepared to BUY!

Having a mental list of what to buy helps you focus and narrow down where the good deals, most suitable for your needs, are. It means less second thoughts, regrets and time wasting. You can better zoom in and sniff out the good bargains, make your comparisons and choose the best colours to match your home theme.

Be decisive and pick what you like quickly. Remember sale items, sizes and designs are limited, once someone takes the last piece, you’ll have to scout around again for something else.

Plus, you will also likely not go  away with things you don’t need in the end. Your husband will also thank you for not spending a draggy long amount of  time at the sale, especially  if he is not a shopping fanatic.

Avoid bringing the kiddos

This may be quite hard to do since the sale is happening over the school holiday weekend but if you can get help to watch the kids, it will make shopping so much faster, easier and less hassle without the little ones. Unless, you have really very guai kiddos, you will know what I am talking about. Haha… I certainly prefer shopping without Wey around!! I can shop, choose and grab in peace without having to answer a zillion questions from him!

Most kids dread going to such events and when they get bored, you know what happens. “Mummy, can I go to the toilet?” ” Mummy, I’m thirsty/ hungry.” “I’m tired, I want to sit down!” ” Mummy, are we done? Can we go somewhere else?” Avoid such stress if you can help it, but if you really can’t leave them at home, remember to bring some books or toys to entertain the kids!

Better yet, dangle some attractive reward for good behaviour! Even, better perhaps to bring your spouse to entertain them while you make your choices! You’ll be also glad to know that there are some air-con areas at the lobby and at the 5th floor that will be more comfortable for very young kids hehe 😛

Dress Light

As most of the warehouse sale is held in the open-air sheltered foyer area, it’s still best to dress light to remain cool. Although, the place is well ventilated with fans and air blowers, it can still get quite warm when it is crowded.

There are some air-con areas at the lobby and the 5th floor where beds and mattresses, sofas are on display for the warehouse sale. However, most of the beddings, pillows and linens are downstairs under temporary canopies outdoors.

Do remember to stay hydrated too in this crazy hot and humid weather.

Bring your wallet, Family & Best Friends

Shopping with BFFs is not overrated. Friends can help you look out for the best deals, compare and choose, make the day more fun and light-hearted! I love shopping with someone else because it’s like a good tag team. Sometimes, you just need that extra pair of hands and eyes to help you carry or ‘chope’ your items! haha, you know what I mean?

You will be glad to know that credit cards and cash are accepted and if you have a Passion Card, you get extra 5%!!! Wahahha!! But most importantly, don’t leave home without your wallet! And if you do, that’s why it’s best to bring your BFFs along! hahaa 🙂

Go Again and Again!

Haha I’m not kidding. I always find myself  going back to a good sale again! Well, if a sale is genuinely good, you will find yourself wanting to go again and again.

So go early, and if you have any regrets of items missed out, you can always make a dash back again! hahha.. seriously, Singapore is small and to get a bargain (if you are a Bargain King or Queen) you wouldn’t mind chiong-ing down again! 🙂

So get set to chiong down to the sale before it ends!

Thanks for joining us on SAys! Happy Mums.  If you liked what you read on our blog, please follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.  We hope to see you back again soon.

Enjoyed my weekend breakfast at the pool with friends sharing a @mandarinorchard 's Signature Baked Mooncake with Mixed Nuts and Jamón Ibérico (伊比利亞火腿五仁月饼). . 3 out of 3 of us agree that the mooncake is delicately just sweet enough to please the palette without having us on the treadmill for hours.  On top of that, the hint of woody flavour in the ham enriched the combined flavours and texture of the mixed nuts wrapped within the golden pastry skin. . Depending on the type of feed for the black Iberian pigs and the curation period, I read that the incredible Spanish ham can easily cost S$150 to S$300 per kg in Singapore and is probably known as the most delicious ham in the Universe. ^.^ . Mandarin Orchard's Mid Autumn treats come in a box of four for baked mooncakes and box of eight for the snow skin variety, either in single or assorted flavours.  If you are one who loves to try a bit of everything, our vote goes to the Assorted Baked Mooncake Selection (4pcs, $72) or Assorted Mini Snow Skin Selection (8pcs consisting of 2 pcs of 4 different flavours, $65). . Available from today (1st Aug) onwards, Mandarin Orchard's mooncakes can be purchased from Shisen Hanten (Level 35). You can also make your purchase at major shopping malls starting from 11th Aug (details in blog post). This is a must try! . We have a giveaway coming up shortly.  So keep calm and join our giveaway to be launched this week. . . . . #burpple #mooncake #mandarinorchard #mooncakebox #packaging  #SGParentBloggers  #instafood #instafoodie #instagood  #sgigfoodies #foodporn #foodaddict #whati8today#sgfood #sgfoodie #sgigers #foodcoma #nomnomnomnom #foodshare #instadaily #sgfoodunion #yumyum #tastyshoutouts #delicious #foodpics #hungrygowhere #eatoutsg #openricesg #sgmakandiaries

With the popularity of salted egg yolk at an all-time high, this year’s new snow skin flavour creation is the Mini Snow Skin Salted Egg Custard with Manuka Honey Corn (迷你冰皮奶黄麦卢卡蜜玉米月饼).  The subtle taste of the salted egg custard is beautifully balanced with the sweetness of the corn and Manuka honey, encased in a layer of soft snow skin.

Last year’s new flavour, Mini Snow Skin Red Wine Cranberry Paste and Yuzu Lemongrass Mooncake (迷你冰皮红酒蔓越莓与柚子香茅月饼) makes a return due to popular demand, together with all-time signature favourite, the Mini Snow Skin Lychee Martini and White Chocolate Mooncake (迷你冰皮荔枝马丁尼朱古力冰皮月饼), containing a smooth creamy filling with a hint of Martini encased in luscious white chocolate, all enveloped in a white pillowy–soft snow skin.

For something more traditional, opt for the Mini Snow Skin Yam and Yam Paste Mooncake (迷你冰皮芋头月饼) that is humbly tasty without an overbearing sweetness.  This is one of Audrey’s favourites.

Mandarin Orchard Mid Autumn 2016

Mini Snow Skin Yam and Yam Paste Mooncake 迷你冰皮芋头月饼 (8pcs, $65)

The Mini Snow Skin Green Tea Paste with Azuki Red Bean Mooncake (迷你冰皮绿茶与日本红豆月饼) are our all-time favourites.  We were told that high quality matcha was used to make the paste as confirmed by the rich fragrance of the tea leaves we tasted with every bite.  As the saying goes, not all green tea are the same and we’d highly recommend this flavour!

This and below is for the family hero – the X-Park (a la Ninja Warrior obstacle course) is Asia’s first and only indoor adventure challenge course combining elements of climbing, jumping & free-running before zipping on the aerial runway to the finish line.

This epic urban playground is designed to allow challenge and diversity for free-running masters as well as easy-entry points for first timers. Each element can be explored as a stand-alone challenge or navigated as one circuit with different levels of difficulty to allow for personal progression and creative expression.

Ultimately, the aim is to get from the start to the end of the course in the fastest and most awesome way possible.  Only for 125cm & above, one participant per obstacle at a time.

{Tickets Giveaway} CBeebies’ Mister Maker & The Shapes Live in Singapore

Mister Maker Live

When our kids were smaller, they would always be happy with a show by CBeebies’ Mister Maker.  Both of us don’t normally allow the kids to simply watch TV for the sake of occupying their time.  We selectively pick shows to engage them with, with the hope that while they get entertained, they can learn something useful as well.  We are most glad that Mister Maker, the art and craft wizard on TV will teach and entertain them in the most fun and imaginative ways through the use of shapes.  Now that Wey and Didi are officially primary school kids, they still fondly remember the wacky Mister Maker and are actually enthusiastically looking forward to his arrival.

If your child/children has/have grown up watching Mister Maker shows on TV, we are most pleased to announce that their favourite arty-crafty uncle, CBeebies’ Mister Maker, will be making his first ever live tour and he will be coming to Singapore from 10 to 12 June 2016!  With a fabulous supporting cast and art at its heart, this fantastic live show encourages Mini Makers and grown-ups to sing, dance and make some noise.

Mister Maker Live

During this interactive live show, there’s a big ‘make’ to take part in, lots of audience participation and….The Shapes! Yes, the kids will be able to share the fun with Circle, Square, Rectangle and Triangle too!

Mister Maker is the ultimate arts and craft show for pre-schoolers and early primary years which teaches and entertains in fun and imaginative ways. He is a real life character who gets his inspiration to make art from everything and anything around him.  Set in his own fantasy art room, he collects the required things from the Doodle drawers as he creates and makes pictures, objects and other things come to life. Join in with him as he then wakes up the shapes to perform a song and dance together. Mini Makers can catch also Mister Maker on CBeebies (StarHub Channel 303) daily from 10am to 10.40am.

[Review] Splash @ Kidz Amaze at SAFRA Punggol – Where Fun Flows

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

You would have already known that SAFRA Punggol has opened in late April.  We attended a media invite at Splash @ Kidz Amaze recently and the kids had the blessing to experience water-play at Singapore’s first indoor water playground, right before mid-year exams commence.

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

Occupying a floor area of 24,000 square feet, the water playground themed after the ‘Enchanted Deep Sea’ is by far the largest and tallest indoor splash pool with multiple play decks, five slides and a themed splash pad.  Splash @ Kidz Amaze is only meant for children aged 18 months to 13 years of age but adults are too having a great time in there.  Who wouldn’t love a dip especially under such hot weather?  Personal Bestest Reason – no harsh sun in there or else I would not be frolicking with the kids (and Audrey)!  >.<

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

The water playground has a standard depth of 30cm throughout the entire area.  The younger toddlers can enjoy their splashing in front of the party rooms where dedicated play structures have been installed for their enjoyment.  Our three kids spent a lot of their time here as they really loved the uncluttered area with large open spaces where they ran, crawled and made waves.

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

Even the daddies were having fun with water sprays and our families had some serious warfare around the water sprays.

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

At the far end of Splash @ Kidz Amaze, stands a huge 3-storey tall structure that has everything a child can dream of – water bucket, three slides of varying excitement and even colourful mood lights that come into play as the evening leads into the night.  Here at SAFRA Punggol, the water playground opens til 8 pm on weekdays or 9 pm on weekends and Public Holidays.

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

Over here, the big green slide appealed to our kids the most – the space is wide enough for two children to slide down almost the same time (I monitored and the crew does ensure a certain level of safety not to have the kids bumping into each other while at play).  Just at the three slides alone, there were already a team of 6 crews to look after the children’s safety both from the top and bottom of slides.  I did not count how many other crew were walking around the area though, but spotted at least 2 different persons ensuring overall safety at areas other that the huge play structure.

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

Out of the three, Jiejie was the only more adventurous one that day.  She decided to experience the thrill from both the taller slides.  She preferred the lower one as it was exciting enough for her but not overly so as she is not totally a thrill seeker.  🙂  Morever, she made friends with the pretty jiejie manning the entrance to that slide and insisted I go meet her new friend too.

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

Play during weekend is limited to four (4) hours per session and there are altogether three sessions in a day.  I find that the duration is comfortable and long enough such that kids will not still be crying for more at the end of the session.  With a sufficient four hours in the water, each of them readily and willingly went for their shower after that.

SAFRA Punggol Splash @ Kidz Amaze

Jiejie’s favourite activity is becoming marshmallow baby whenever she spots a jacuzzi jet. She would inflate her top and the fun lies in toppling over after that. 🙂

Here’s a quick overview of the water playground at SAFRA Punggol to share –

Children under the age of 18 mo may enter SPLASH for free, they are also welcome to play at the play facility with accompanying adults. However, we would like to highlight that the playground was designed and built for children age 18mo to 13yo.  Parents should keep a keen eye on younger children and supervise them during the use of the water facility.

Party rooms conveniently connected to the playground are also ideal for hosting children’s birthday parties. The party rooms are big and spacious, each with their own marine-related theme as a backdrop.  If you are looking for a suitable location for the next party, by all means give a check out at SAFRA Punggol.  Each of these Kidz Amaze party rooms can host up to 70 pax with adequate quantity of chairs for the children to enjoy some craft work or meal in between play.  More information can be found here or you can simply call Splash @ Kidz Amaze SAFRA Punggol at 6585 8710 or email : splash@safra.sg for their booking schedule.
