{Media Preview} Madagascar Live! On Stage | Let’s ‘Move It, Move it’ This Weekend!

Because….., Madagascar Live! has reached the shores of Singapore!  Every family with little ones in Singapore can look forward to ‘Move It, Move It’ with all-time favourite Madagascar characters – Alex the lion, Melman the giraffe, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo and the lovable smarty-pants penguins as they escape from their home at New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an exciting unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.  Commencing from 21st Apr (that’s TOMORROW!) til 24th Apr (Sunday) and happening at the MasterCard Theatres – Marina Bay Sands, tickets are already on sale at Marina Bay Sands Ticketing Website or SISTIC.

Madagascar Live!

We met up with Alex, Marty and the plotting penguins during yesterday’s media preview of song and dance.  Resident Director for Madagascar Live!, Samantha Mason, revealed that Madagascar Live! is staged in one city a week.  Scheduling and planning of rehearsals start right after loading in their six (6) containers of costumes and technical equipments.  The team makes lots of rehearsals each week as different stage sizes means some adjustments required to tailor to each show venue.

Madagascar Live!

With a cast of twelve (12) performers and the technical team, Madagascar Live! has travelled all around the world starting from U.S.A. and London, and is now finally in Asia region.  Be prepared to relive the fun and humour of the animals and their escapades in this superb family entertainment show that has been brilliantly recreated in a stage production of lively storytelling, dance and music.  Look forward to tapping your feet to the super hit soundtrack, ‘I Like to Move It, Move It’ too!

Madagascar Live! is suitable for audiences of all ages.  A fun-filled celebration of friendship and good times, the show is set to be a vivid showcase of imaginative sets and costumes, peppy dance numbers and spectacular new songs created specially by the animation team from Dreamworks Animation.
