We started the year with much worry and anticipation since it was Wey’s first year in Primary School. Little did I imagine that Term 1 would whisk by so quickly! When I told Wey that his first treat for the March Holidays would be to go to the Disney On Ice Festival, he could not contain his excitement, squealing with delight as he gave me a kiss and exclaimed, “What a wonderful day it is and what nice way to start the holidays! Yay Mummy! Thank you!” This guy really knows how to melt his mummy’s heart – I melted inside 🙂
If you haven’t experienced the magic of Disney on Ice with your little one, it’s time to build beautiful magical childhood memories with this year’s Disney on Ice Festival! Disney On Ice Festival starts 11- 20 March 2016 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Book your tickets at www.sportshubtix.sg !
Heading into the Indoor Stadium brought back many wonderful memories of past Disney On Ice shows we’ve brought Wey to, and looking at his facial expression, I knew he remembered too! This time it was even better because we got to watch Disney On Ice together with K and R!
K got all dressed up for the event as Cinderella, her favourite Princess. I know Shirley’s heart fluttered as she watched her little girl looking so pretty. It was an added bonus that K was picked to take the carriage ride on ice- what an amazing experience for her 🙂 Hint: Have you always wondered how kids get picked to participate in the show? Well, you need to dress your little ones up like one of the Princesses (or Disney characters) and be early for the show, getting near front row seats helps too! haha)
One of my favourite performances of the show was Beauty and the Beast! It’s always my all time favourite and watching it again on Ice was as thrilling as watching the Broadway Musical at MBS last year (read our review here).
It was refreshing to watch Belle on ice this time… She flirted with the ice with such elegance and grace… it was beautiful…. haha did I ever mention how much I loved watching ice-skating?
This year’s Disney on Ice is really NOT TO BE MISSED simply because it includes everyone’s favourite, Disney’s Frozen! Yes!! Yes!!! Elsa, Anna and even Olaf all come to live on the ice! Wooohoooo!!
I could feel the buzz of excitement in the air the minute that Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven came onto the ice!! I really loved Sven! He was so huge and life like, just adorable and so believable!! (The skaters playing Sven did an amazing job, never missing a step or turn Wow!)
Wey exclaimed excitedly, “It’s Frozen, Mummy!!” hahaha…. all the little princesses in the box seats were happily running toward the stage (seriously, who can blame them!) and made the ushers really busy trying to get them to safety!
And then Anna appeared …
Followed closely by Elsa!! ScREeeAAaMmm!
It was heart-stopping, exhilarating …. and all so worth it! Even the mums got excited… cameras, video-cams, handphones all started clicking away excitedly while the kids were all captivated by the moment by the magical moment when one gets to meet Queen Elsa singing that all too famous, all too well loved song that’s become legendary …. that none of us can “Let it go!” …. I enjoyed every bit of the amazing rendition on stage…. I felt like a little girl again! hahaa Oops!!
And… Olaf and the Snow! Super super loved him! The kids were over the moon with all their favourites coming onstage.
K, Wey and R had an awesome magical time this morning at Disney On Ice!
When I asked Wey at lunch, what was his favourite part of the entire show, he exclaimed without a second thought, “The last part! Frozen!” Yes! Indeed, what a wonderful finale high point! I totally agree! Yay Frozen! If you are still wondering why go? I’d say if not anything else, just go for Disney’s Frozen, it’s just so worth it! The smiles on your little ones faces are just half of it, you will love it yourself! 🙂
And judging from the amazing response and support we’ve had for our GIVEAWAY from our blog readers, we know everyone loves Disney On Ice and will have a great time there, so don’t miss out! Have fun this March Holidays with your little sweethearts before they get back to school all too soon again!
SAys! Audrey 🙂
